About Our Candies

How do I store my Kohakutou?
Keep your candies in a cool, dry place, ideally in their original packaging. Storing the candies in a cool, dry place helps maintain their freshness and deliciousness for months.
What about special dietary needs and preferences?
Our candies are made in a home kitchen facility that processes peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, coconut, and dairy. Cross-contact may occur.
Why doesn't my candy look exactly like the photos?
Because they are hand crafted, no two pieces are ever the same and have some differentiation from the photos.
Why does your candy sometimes take so long to ship out?
All of our Kohakutou candies are made at home in small batches. Kohakutou candy requires drying and setting time (humid weather can lengthen these times). When I started this little company, I wanted to make pretty Kohakutou - but most of all - I wanted it to be very flavorful. I work very hard to insure that I bring very flavorful and delicious candy in every batch. This is why I keep them small, and remain very hands on. It has become my passion!
What if my candy doesn't arrive hard and crunchy on the outside?
Humid weather conditions during shipping sometimes softens the outer shell of Kohakutou candy. This is a temporary occurrence and does not affect the quality or safety of the candy. You can remove the candy from its packaging and allow it to rest at room temperature in a dry environment, out of sunlight until it regains its crispness.
